April 14, 2016 is an important day! It coincides with the conclusion of Round 1, 10 years ago!
Hard to believe it’s already been 10 years. We’ve got some great things in store to celebrate!
Round 100 starts today. 10 years/100 rounds… We totally didn’t plan that out. But it sounds pretty good. 😀
Round 100 will be the most spectacular round yet, featuring 100+ vst instruments and effects, and plenty of samples to choose from. And for the first time in SDC history, prizes will be offered to the winners. TAL has graciously offered licenses for several of their vsti’s: TAL-Sampler, TAL-U-NO-LX and TAL-BassLine-101. One winner will also be receiving a pair of headphones. There may be more prizes on the way, more details to follow.
I’m very pleased to announce the public beta of the SDCompo Render Project.
A-Lin and I have been working tirelessly to get every SDCompo entry ever uploaded to the Internet Archive in high quality flac format. We’re finally nearing completion. You can check out the render project page for more details and links to all the songs!
SDCompo Featured in a local newspaper
Recently I was interviewed by a local newspaper called “Relish”, and had a chance to share what SDCompo is all about. I think they did a good job of summarizing the spirit of what we do here. You can check out the article here.
Finally, I’d just like to say thanks to everyone who has ever participated in SDC, it’s the users who make this community special.
Stay tuned for news regarding the 10th anniversary celebration, we’ve still got some surprises up our sleeves!
