We had some fun jamming. I can’t say its very good… Live recordings and we couldn’t hear the balance issues cuz the music was so loud. 😀
You’re welcome to hear the mini-set its 30 mins.
Unfortunately the Korg MS2000 is drowning out the TR-8 in this one which needs to be turned up!!
The sound volumes more balanced here but too bad the left channel went inexplicably missing!!
This one ends up more repetitive beats in exchange for more noises. Instead of the TR-8, Kevin programmed his Phenol while I worked the MS2000, a rompler, and every so often switched patterns on the Renoise beat. The Phenol makes some delightfully noisy analog textures which dominate the mix. 🙂

Awesome stuff, I wish I could have been there to add some live percussion 🙂 Maybe one day 🙂

Hehe definitely couldn’t have hurt! 🙂 My gear workflow is not setup for the live DJ action. Its amazing how those kinda dudes do it.
And I had a strict rule when he came over with his gear that we didn’t start tearing out my MIDI wiring and inputs into my ADAT because my current workflow has taken a while to get everything setup how I want it and I didn’t want to mess it up for one night of playing around live…
So we essentially just did like a live two-track thing straight to analog tape. But we did use Renoise as the master clock as everything was time-synced even though we were pushing buttons and twisting knobs live.

Thanks. 🙂 Its a shame the left channel went out and we didn’t know it. I think this is the one I would enjoy the best too.
