Tagged: competition attribution
I had an idea for a recurring competition in which it is allowed to use the whole history of
audiotournament competition samples and plugins. It would probably take up a whole lot of space,
but I am excited about having a library of sounds and songs made from the library from
all previous competitions.
Then I think it would be interesting to make the competition about attribution, so that samples are
easily traceable to songs. That would make it possible to collect some data about sample and plugin
usage, etc. as well as an index of sounds used in all the awesome tunes.
Also it would be nice to handle this attribution data with software tools to query songs and sounds, ie.
list sounds used in a collection of songs or list all percussive sounds, etc.Maybe software doing something
like this already exists?
This is a cool idea Aklt. It would take some time to compile all those samples. Serving a Sample Pack that large could create some issues too. I think some thought would need to go into how to carry out a round like that. I like the idea though!
How about several rounds that use groups of samplepacks from previous rounds, all summing up to the whole package. That would make it more manageable on the preparation and delivery end, and save the compo participants from having way, waaaaay too many options in a single round.
