Should I generally want to have the sample rate in Renoise match what the sample packs are using? (44100 in SD93.)
I did have it set much higher (96000), but I was seeing some unusual some unusual behavior in the high end of the scope.
Regarding your comment to keep it matching the rate of your sample packs — this is not necessary. Even if we were using lower bitrate samples from the older tracking days. I think Renoise is just going to upscale them internally anyway. The sample playback rate of your track is going to be the quality of your entire track — because the Renoise DSPs and effects are going to have their own sound that is not the sample pack anyway.
I use 48000. Best to stick with that or 44100. Not 96000 and here’s why:
