Another exploration of modes, this time the Phrygian set in Emin (which is where the all-white-key Phrygian mode starts anyway 🙂 ). This beast is broken into 2 movements that hopefully flow gracefully from one to the other, mostly because the first idea ran out of steam and sat in the realm of brain-freeze for something like 2 weeks. And so the second ‘movement’ was born.
I tried replacing TDR’s Feedback Compressor II with its successor, Kotelnikov, but I couldn’t get the settings right for the same sound; internally it’s a different animal 🙁 Next round, though, I’ll try to get away from the older model since it doesn’t seem as cross-platform friendly as believed.
Anyway, this thing is far in my mind from being finished; I simply ran out of time. So here it is, somewhere between started and finished.
